The Discussion Unit with Channel Selector is typically used for smaller and medium-sized conferences. Units connect in a simple daisy-chain. Each unit enables participants to speak, register a request-to-speak, and listen to the speaker. A socket is provided to connect the pluggable microphones (sold separately). The unit has a built-in-channel selector that makes it ideal for multi-lingual meetings when interpreters are available. The channel selector includes up and down channel select keys and a display showing the corresponding channel number and language abbreviation. The unit also accommodates two headphone connections. The built-in loudspeaker is muted when the microphone is on to prevent acoustic feedback. Units are available in two colors (dark or light grey) specified via part number.
