ADVANCED COMBO Wi-Fi/IR ASSISTIVE LISTENING SYSTEM
The assistive listening system shall be capable of broadcasting audio over both Infrared (IR) and 2.4/5.0 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies, allowing users to receive the audio through a receiving device with ear speaker/headphones or directly to Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. The IR system shall be transmitted to a receiving device as defined below. The 2.4/5.0 GHz frequency shall be transmitted to personal smart devices such as cellular phones and tablets through a free application as defined below.
The Infrared Transmitter/Radiator Combo shall be capable of broadcasting up to two (2) audio channels with the choice of four (4) mono carrier frequencies; 2.3, 2.8, 3.3, and 3.8 MHz. Channel carrier selections shall be set via a back panel rotary switches. The Transmitter/Radiator coverage area shall be up to 30,000 ft² (2787 m²) with single channel transmission when using the LR-4200-IR. The device shall have a timer that shuts off the carriers after 15 minutes when no audio is present at the inputs. The device shall have two (2) independent mixing audio inputs, one for each transmission channel. The Transmitter/Radiator shall provide both power and audio signal for up to Four (4) Expansion Radiators over CAT-5e cable. The Listen Technologies LT-84 is specified.
The stationary audio over Wi-Fi server shall be capable of delivering 2 mono / 1 stereo audio channels in 1 RU space and shall be capable of connecting to and residing on the venues existing local area network (LAN) via a single RJ45 Ethernet connection. Venue content and channel listings shall be administered through a cloud managed service. The audio over Wi-Fi server shall be compatible with the latest Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11 standards and capable of handling up to 1,000 simultaneous users. The Listen Technologies Listen EVERYWHERE 2 Channel Server LW-100P-02 is specified.
The IR receiver shall be capable of receiving on one of four (4) wide band channels (carriers), Channel 1 (2.3 MHz), Channel 2 (2.8 MHz), Channel 3 (3.3 MHz) and Channel 4 (3.8 MHz). The receiver shall have the option of being lanyard or belt clip worn and the lanyard shall incorporate an integrated neck loop for compatibility with T-coil hearing aids. The receiver shall be intelligent and provide customized audio to either earphones or the integrated neck loop based upon which is connected. The receiver shall have two (2) 3.5 mm (TRRS) connectors to drive the integrated neck loop lanyard or up to two (2) mono or stereo earphones. The receiver shall incorporate a multi-functional display (OLED) that indicates battery status, inventory number, volume level and a customizable channel name. The receiver shall employ a unique iDSPTM noise reduction technology. The receiver shall be fully programmable via PC software. The receiver shall have a micro USB connector used for programming/setup, inventory control, charging and firmware upgrades. The receiver shall incorporate automatic battery charging circuitry and use a non-proprietary lithium ion battery. The receiver shall automatically turn on when removed from the charging device and automatically turn off when returned to the charging device. The receiver shall have additional charging contacts to allow for multiple charging options. The receiver shall have a signal-to-noise ratio of 60 dB or greater, THD less than 2% and shall have an audio frequency response of 63 Hz – 15 kHz (±3 dB). The Listen LR-4200-IR is specified.
The Wi-Fi receiver shall be personal smart devices such as cellular phones and tablets as provided by the users. The audio over Wi-Fi shall be delivered to the personal smart device via a free application downloaded onto the personal device. When the free application is launched, the personal smart device will automatically connect to the audio over Wi-Fi server. The application will list the available channels and play the audio when selected by the user. The free application shall also be capable of containing user documentation and instructions in addition to ads, promotional banners and videos. The app shall be customizable, allowing the venue to load in its color pallet and logos. The Listen Technologies Listen EVERYWHERE App is specified.
