Manufacturer used ListenTALK to facilitate booth communication at EWMA 2024
The annual EWMA conference is an important event for Advancis because attendees include specialist clinicians from around the world. At this year’s event, held at Excel in London, Advancis hosted educational sessions at its booth.
“Education is a key part of the way we support our clinical partners, demonstrating new and innovative ways to use our products to achieve better clinical outcomes, so when we host live sessions it is imperative that everyone can hear clearly, especially in a busy, noisy environment like the Excel,” said Ron Sellies, director of group sales and marketing at Advancis.
Ampetronic, a world-leading provider of audio induction loop systems, recommended Listen Technologies’ ListenTALK system to support Advancis’ communication needs at EWMA 2024.
ListenTALK Transformed Booth Presentations into Interactive Experiences
ListenTALK is a two-way communication system featuring small, lightweight transceivers (combination transmitters/receivers) that users wear on a lanyard around their neck. Presenters speak into a headset with a microphone attached to their transceiver. Attendees hear clear audio through headphones or earbuds connected to their transceivers. Neck loops are available for users with telecoil-equipped hearing devices, including hearing aids and cochlear implants.
Transceivers can be grouped for one- or two-way communication in a docking station or by tapping units together using near-field communication (NFC). Advancis used the two-way communication feature to transform presentations at its booth into interactive experiences.
With ListenTALK transceivers and headsets, visitors to the Advancis booth could hear presenters clearly despite background noise and distance. They also could ask questions and participate in discussion with speakers by pressing and holding a button on their transceiver and speaking into the microphone. This increased attendee involvement and allowed for a deeper understanding of the topics discussed.
“We selected the ListenTALK solution from Listen Technologies, based on a recommendation from Ampetronic, as it was not only a convenient way to connect the audience to the speaker’s voice, but also provided that added value of two-way communication, so they could ask questions, which adds a new dimension to the experience,” said Sellies. “[ListenTALK] was easy to set up and proved [to be] really popular with both the speakers and audience.”
ListenTALK is a Versatile Solution that Can Meet Different Communication Needs
Advancis used ListenTALK for assistive listening during the EWMA 2024 conference. ListenTALK can also be used for tours and to facilitate interpretation. The system operates inside and outside and can accommodate up to 20 groups in the same space, making it possible for education sessions and tours to happen simultaneously.
With ListenTALK, leaders can easily create groups and switch between one- and two-way communication modes. ListenTALK transceivers charge quickly and have a long operating life, and they are compatible with standard earbuds and headsets so listeners can use their own equipment if that is preferred.
“It’s gratifying to know ListenTALK played an integral role in ensuring Advancis’ education sessions at the EWMA conference were successful and that presenters and attendees could hear clearly and share important information about Advancis’ products,” said Kim Franklin, vice president of global marketing, Listen Technologies. “We know Advancis will continue to benefit from ListenTALK and find new ways to utilize the system to facilitate education and collaboration.”
