You Get What You Pay For: The Value The Pro Audio Dealer Delivers

The internet is a great tool for finding the absolute lowest price for products.  And as a result we’re becoming engrained with the notion that we always have to get the lowest absolute cost for products.  Would you ever pay the lowest price for heart surgery?  I know that’s a silly analogy, but in many cases getting the lowest price isn’t necessarily the best deal for us in the long term.

According to the Salt Lake County Homeless Coordinating Council, across Utah there are approximately 4,000 people each night that are homeless. While the majority is adult males, this number also includes women and children. It breaks my heart to think that many people don’t have a warm place to sleep each night.

Exceeding Expectations

Isn’t it fun to exceed expectations? Every year we have with InfoComm’s AV Week. And this year (October 17-23, 2010) I hope will be a repeat with even more AV professionals getting involved. AV Week is really just an excuse to show pride in what you do every day. But it does force you out of your comfort zone. Because it’s all about educating others about the value of AV, talking to people unfamiliar with our industry, local officials, students, potential customers. And it’s also very rewarding. InfoComm members tell us they like having the spotlight on them for a change since they’re often behind-the-scenes. They tell us it creates good will and business opportunities.

Why Does Listen Use Social Media?

I have been asked several times how Listen uses social media. Maybe a more important question is: why does Listen use social media? Listen is new to social media. We began this adventure in July 2009. In the beginning we didn’t fully understand what all the hype was about with social media.
