One of my favorite offerings of InfoComm is the AV Technology Tours. The AV Technology Tours will visit technical and entertainment venues in the Las Vegas, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how leading edge AV technology has been implemented. Tour participants will have an opportunity to hear from the experts that operate these venues as well as understand real world applications of the technologies being exhibited on the show floor.
AV Technology Tour venues include the recording studio at the Palms, Cirque du Soleil’s Ka, Love and O theaters, and the MGM Mirage LEED-Certified City.
Listen Technologies will sponsor the InfoComm 2010 AV Technology Tours via an in-kind donation of its Tour Group systems. Listen’s tour group systems, which transmit the tour guide’s voice to receivers worn by tour participants, will be used to facilitate the AV Technology Tours.
Multiple groups of up to ninety people and the noisy, dynamic environment can make it a challenge to keep everyone together as well making sure tour guests can hear the tour guide. Listen tour group systems have been used for the AV Technology Tours before and InfoComm knows that they are easy to use and work well for this kind of situation
The Listen Tour Group System includes an LT-700 Portable Transmitter with a microphone that allows the tour guide to speak in a normal tone of voice. Each guest will be provided with an LR-400 Portable Digital Display FM Receiver and an LA-164 Ear Speaker. With a transmission range of 150 feet (45.7 m) in the Listen system, the tour guide is not subjected to voice strain and guests can stand at a comfortable distance without crowding.
So often in our industry we plan and prepare for showcasing our technology visually, and often miss how critical it can be to hear the message of what is being shown, Listen is pleased to support InfoComm and applauds the association for recognizing the importance of making sure their guests will clearly hear what is being said.
Three separate ListenTALK receivers in a row with different group names on each display screen.
