In the United States, the federal court system comprises 94 district courts, 13 circuit courts, and one Supreme Court. Generally, state courts typically include circuit or district courts, the courts of appeals, and a state’s supreme court.

The Courtroom Hearing Challenge

Language barriers, hearing loss, distance, and ambient noise can challenge language intelligibility and clarity. Effective and clear communication is essential to ensure everyone can hear and understand the important details shared during legal proceedings inside and outside the courtroom.

The ListenTALK Solution

ListenTALK ensures that attorneys, clients, judges, and jury members can effectively hear and communicate without risking important proceedings. The two-way communication system is encrypted for security. This ensures no one else can listen to confidential conversations. ListenTALK features a sleek transceiver (combination transmitter/receiver) that connects to transmit room audio for assistive listening, can be worn by the court interpreter for language translation, or can be used for private attorney-client conversations.

Participants wear the transceiver on a lanyard and listen through a standard headset or earbuds. The system consists of transceivers, a docking station to charge and pair devices, lanyards to wear them, and headsets.

Additionally, ListenTALK can be used for assistive listening, interpretation, and to accommodate small-group communication.

Devices are simple to set up and use.

• The system is compatible with headsets or earbuds with a standard 3.5 mm jack.
• Transmits encrypted audio to paired devices within a 100-meter radius indoors (200-meter outside).
• Easily sanitize and disinfect the entire system – including the tray, headset, and devices between uses.
