The Rock Star Assistive Listening System Formerly Known as Listen EVERYWHERE is now ListenWIFI

Listen Technologies has launched the next generation of its audio-over-Wi-Fi solution and has rebranded the solution as ListenWIFI. ListenWIFI will replace Listen Technologies’ Listen EVERYWHERE assistive listening system.

“ListenWIFI is a clear and simple descriptor for a sophisticated new listening system that delivers audio seamlessly to smart devices,” said Kim Franklin, vice president of global marketing at Listen Technologies. “The name ListenWIFI aligns with what the technology is and follows the convention of other Listen Technologies solution names like ListenIR and ListenRF. ‘WIFI’ is also universally recognized and synonymous with wireless accessibility.”

As many of you know, we launched our first Wi-Fi-based audio product, ListenWiFi for Personal Listening, in 2014. The original ListenWiFi was created based on feedback from the pro AV channel, including many of you. We learned many things as we worked to improve and innovate this quickly evolving product line.

For example, one important lesson we learned is that our product was not meeting all of the needs of the market. That’s why in 2017, we aquired Audio Everywhere to create the perfect storm of superior technology combined with a commercial-grade audio experience with access to a world-class ProAV distribution channel. With this purchase, we rebranded the product line to Listen EVERYWHERE [CLICK],  which is what we continue to call it today. We have spent a lot of time innovating this product line based on the demands of the markets we serve as well as feedback from consultants like yourselves. We answered many of the challenges the previous iterations could not, including operating on an existing network, private channels, custom branding in the app (with no monthly fees), ultra-low latency, Dante on-board,  (US) receivers for compliance, and so much more.  That said, we’ve continued to listen to your feedback and know there are additional market requirements that have evolved which need to be addressed, so we’ve been working behind the scenes to make that happen.

Listen Technologies launched the first audio-over-Wi-Fi solution, known as ListenWiFi, in 2014. In 2017, ListenWiFi became Listen EVERYWHERE after Listen Technologies’ acquisition of ExXothermic’s Audio Everywhere technology. ListenWIFI is the evolution of Listen EVERYWHERE and the industry’s most advanced, universally accessible, audio-over-Wi-Fi assistive listening solution.

ListenWIFI will be available for demonstration in the Listen Technologies booth (2961) at InfoComm and ships later this year.
