Listen Technologies Hires Sales Manager for Eastern US

Listen Technologies, a provider of advanced wireless listening solutions for 26 years, has appointed a new Eastern regional sales manager, Stephen Robinson. He will work with Listen Technologies channel partners, consultants, and end-users throughout the Eastern United States. Robinson reports to Mikey Shaffer, senior sales director at Listen Technologies.

Listen Hires Stephen Robinson to Handle East Coast Sales

Listen Technologies has named Stephen Robinson as its Eastern regional sales manager. Robinson has worked in AV throughout his career, including roles as a systems design engineer, AV consultant and consultant liaison at Crestron. Before joining Listen Technologies, he was a business development manager at a systems integration firm. He has experience supporting government, education and commercial projects.

BYO Headphones: Tuning into the Next-Gen Bluetooth Broadcast at the Sydney Opera House

At home, my wife and I watch TV with the captions on, almost always. We’re both in our 40s and neither of us has a hearing loss. I blame the issue on our TV being about 15 feet from the couch, but I think there’s something else going on. Today’s ubiquitous flat-screen TVs are notorious for producing unclear sound through tiny speakers—often pointing in the wrong direction—and modern sound design seems to prioritize immersive sound environments (effects, music, explosions) over dialogue clarity. To really hear every word, we’d have to turn the TV up loud enough to wake up the kids.
