Demonstrates mobile collaboration device in booth number 1823
INFOCOMM, ORLANDO – June 15, 2017 – Listen Technologies, a leading provider of assistive listening products for more than 17 years, will showcase its newest product offering, ListenTALK, at InfoComm 2017 and demonstrate the technology in booth number 1823.
ListenTALK is a mobile collaboration device that is simple to use, portable, reliable and powerful. The product features a pocket-sized device that makes it easy for groups of two or more people to listen and talk with the push of a button.
ListenTALK enables clear, secure, collaborative communications with the largest range of any existing technology – up to 100 meters. The product is ideal for noisy, crowded and/or mobile environments where people need to communicate with others and wish to avoid having to shout or whisper. Applications include training and collaboration, presentations, guided tours, event production, and language interpretation such as worship services or international business events.
Listen Technologies previewed ListenTALK at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2017 in February and attendees, including AV and systems integrator professionals, responded very favorably to the product’s range, affordability and ease of use.
“ListenTALK combines all the benefits of each of our other technologies into a single product and provides the ideal listening and collaboration solution for groups of two or more in environments where communication is critical, but the ability to hear clearly is hampered by ambient noise or distance,” said Russ Gentner, president and CEO, Listen Technologies. “The industry’s positive response to ListenTALK is testament to its value as a product and underscores the need that exists for this type of solution.”
Built on the less crowded 1.9 GHz band, and offering secure encryption and full duplex spread spectrum technology, ListenTALK delivers the best and most powerful single solution to hearing assistance.
How It Works
ListenTALK groups can be set up quickly and easily using the free software suite or docking station tray, or by using near field communication (NFC). Unlike other two-way communication systems that require users to manually select channels and configure each individual device, ListenTALK devices can be configured by the simple push of a button in the docking station tray to accommodate up to 10 simultaneous groups operating in the same place. Users can also easily switch groups simply by touching the ListenTALK devices to another leader device to pair. Participant talk-back mode can be set up for listen (participants in listen only mode), respond (participants can listen and respond to leader only), and discuss (participants can listen and respond to leader and group) modes. In addition, a convenient, portable docking station case is available that charges, stores, and programs ListenTALK devices.
Users have the option to carry the ListenTALK transceiver with built-in microphone in their pocket or attach it to a belt or lanyard. The device comes standard with an ear speaker. Additionally, a variety of headsets are available, and ListenTALK is compatible with personal smartphone earbuds. Users can hear leaders clearly, even in large, crowded or noisy environments, and can communicate with leaders and other participants in a group using the one-touch talk-back feature.
Additional ListenTALK features include a removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, simple user interface, and global technology that enables devices to be deployed worldwide.
ListenTALK is available globally and will begin shipping this summer. To learn more about ListenTALK and to view a demonstration of the technology, please visit Listen Technologies’ booth number 1823 at InfoComm 2017.
