The C7-1 Series hearing loop drivers from Ampetronic mark a substantial development in assistive listening technology. C Series units feature digital signal processing and networking functionality, and enable fast, accurate setup and adjustment via a very simple and easy to use user interface and built-in test tones.

Available in Non-Networked (C7-1), Networked (C7-1N), and Dante (C7-1D) versions.

Engineered to offer the high end performance, consistency and certainty of results associated with top of the range hearing loop drivers, all for the price of a mid-range amplifier. Class ‘D’ drivers built into the C Series ensures low running and maintenance costs.

Network and Dante versions enable installers, technicians and facilities managers to remotely control the driver and monitor its condition status along with resistance and induction measurements. Fault condition alerts via email or Telnet provide reassurance that an operator will be informed of any issues with performance delivery.

The C7-1 features 7 Amps RMS current loop output, plus ample voltage headroom, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Installation can be performed with total confidence; unique, multi-stage filtering ensures compatibility with other systems and global EMC regulations.

Architectural Specs

The C-Series Perimeter Loop Driver shall deliver 7 A (RMS) for at least 60s continuously when excited with a 1 kHz sine wave as measured with the IEC 62489-1 induction loop amplifier performance standard. Only drivers that have been tested and compliant to this IEC 62489-1 specification shall be accepted, no other substitutions will be allowed. The driver shall be a class D amplifier design with automatic sleep mode and provide up to 20 V_(RMS)at the maximum output current.

In a Perimeter Loop application with no metal present it shall cover up to 460 sq. m (4,952 sq. ft.) in a square area. The driver shall have a frequency response of at least 80Hz to 6.5kHz +/- 3 dB with THD+N less than 0.2%. The unit shall incorporate (AGC) Audio Gain Control optimized for speech with a compression dynamic range of >36 dB audio processing. The unit shall incorporate built in test signals and up to 4dB/oct Metal Loss Correction to rectify frequency loss caused by adjacent metal structures. The unit shall occupy one rack space and rack mount brackets shall be included. The Perimeter Loop driver is tested to and compliant with: IEC 62489-1 induction loop amplifier performance standard.

This product is designed to form part of a system that can meet all the requirements of the international loop performance standard IEC60118-4, and the relevant parts of IEC TR 63079. To fully meet requirements of these standards, correct design, installation, commissioning and maintenance are required. All specification data has been compiled in accordance with IEC62489-1, the international standard for audio frequency induction loop equipment. Specification data should only be compared with data compliant to this Standard.
